Never saw an Eycyclia (pure) that color. Maybe it's a cross? Whatever it is, it's certainly beautiful!

Google Encyclia atrorubens, and see if that is close. The color in other photos is not as bright as yours, but the shape is right. Is the color of your blooms as it looks in the photo here (bright, true red)?

Well Jeanne it is a rather an unusual red and not so easy to record exactly by photography much depends on the time of day and quality of sunlight. Here is a close up of one bloom, I think the colour here is pretty close.
