I'm sitting here grinning because I love being an enabler in the amazing world of growing tomatoes. Go ahead and blame me and blame Jay and blame Carol, because we don't care....we want everyone to grow "Too Many Tomatoes". lol

Some years it seems like all I do in Feb. and Mar. is start seeds and pot up and start seeds and pot up and start seeds and pot up. It all pays off, though, when I'm planting my own seedlings in the spring and get to plant varieties we prefer instead of just whatever seedlings the stores happened to have.

I still have some pepper plants to pot up and may finish them up tomorrow. I had to wait for the snow to come and go so I could move more plant flats outside, which I did today, and that left me some empty shelves on the seed-starting shelf. I'll pot up the remaining peppers (I think they're all the ornamental varieties) tomorrow early in the day while it is too chilly to work comfortably outside, and then likely plant potatoes.

Wait until you taste Black Cherry.....it will knock your socks off!

YEA DOROTHY!!! Yesterday, I planted up close to 80 tomatoe plants. Started 16 more because I found 2 types I'd missed when going thru my gifts from the swap. Out of all that I started, I only had 7 peat pellets that didn't germinate. That was much better germination than I thought I'd get, and most of that was the Black Cherry I got from Bakers Creek. Somewhere I read that germination rate for tomatoes was only around 55%....but I guess I got lucky! ALL my Pink Brandymaster germinated! And so did the Mexico Midgets and the Tuxhorn Yellow & Red....I'm beginning to sound like Dawn! Yikes! I've started 8 or 9 types of tomatoes and probably 12 different kinds of peppers.

Going to start on the broccoli tonite, I've got 50 of them. Me thinks maybe I got a bit too industrious....
