Pot Dream Circle --- another one

A cross made by Frank Fordyce between Slc Circle of Life and Pot Hisako Akatsuka. This is a first time bloom where the flower is slightly over 4" wide (natural spread) and the plant is compact --- barely 11" tall from the rhizome. I'm very pleased with the flower quality from this cross basing from my seedlings that bloomed this year and this plant by far has the largest, fullest lip compared to it's siblings.

Having limited experience in photography, it's very challenging on my part to take pictures that represents the true color of the flower, mainly the red/lavender tones. What worked for me was to use filtered/natural light coming from my west window without any flash...

Jemsta, keep an eye on the future offerings from C&H because an east coast grower told me that they are recreating this cross once more and would be offering it. I'm even planning to get couple more seedlings for myself :)

Gin, a took approx. 40 pictures using different settings until I found one that's good enough to represent the true colors. It's a good thing we live in the digital camera age because otherwise, photo developing cost will run next to my orchids cost ;)
