Oeceoclades maculata
I volunteer this as the orchid with the most difficult to spell/ pronounce name! Oeceoclades is one of a group of mainly African terrestrial orchids called Eulophias, distantly related to Cymbidium. This species is the only one found in S America, though it is relatively common in both continents. It has an attractive mottled leaf. Very easy, will grow in most well-drained garden soils. About 15cm (6") tall.
