I am getting in the last trays of perennials today for the next few nights of freeze. I will start annuals and veggies at the end of this month. I'm a little NE of you in Grove on the lake.

I've got a few more seeds I'd like to grow, so I may try wintersowing them along w/ my others. Don't know what I'm doing, probably planted some of them too early, but you have to learn sometime.

are you sowing directly outside? Wow, I wouldn't do that unless the specific seed requires frost (I did my poppies, they require frost. I did my clover, it can take frost. I'm starting my bareroot plants and mulching them). This beautiful spring weather will like cause things to germinate early (especially if we start getting spring rains)- we're bound to have another good snow before its over. March is actually the largest snowfall month in Oklahoma. And as Dawn mentioned in another thread - we can get frosts in May. I don't sow my other seeds until April unless its indoor starts.

Nope, not sowing in the garden, but winter sowing; making little greenhouses out of pop bottles and milk jugs. I have sprouts already!
