Gorgeous, Jane. I have not had any blooms on mine yet. Did you do anything diferently to get it to boom this year?

My level of aggravation is expressed in a percentage number. This spring a full 25% of my 4 Dend aggravatums bloomed. Good work Jane did you coddle or threaten it?

I like the % idea. So, I'm sticking den unicum in the batch, which means I got 25% success.
I actually forgot about this den. I hung it outside in full sun and the only water it got was rain or when my husband forgets and sprays eVerything with the hose. Luckily, neither rain nor hose happen often so the plant was dry.

It's mounted on a piece of wood. I had it potted and couldn't get it to flower and it almost went to orchid heaven. I think neglect did the magic.

In the meantime, I have three others doing nothing. They sit there mocking me.

Jane, that's a great idea for a new name! I have a potful that I've had for years, and every winter it sends out flower stalks that reach 5-6 " long, produce lots of little buds, then one by one, the buds shrivel, then the stalk dies back, and that's it for the year. I think I'll give it to someone who might give it what I obviously can't.

Oh, Tucker, I feel your pain! I haven't even gotten to the bud phase before. I think I'd throw it against the wall and step on it!!
