I love that arachnantha and I am even more pleased now that I decided to get one. What do you mean the angraecum elephantinum is mis-IDed? Is that not elephantinum? Does your room smell fantastic right now?

I think my jumellea comorensis is trying to put out some sort of spike or keiki. Fingers are crossed.

Yes, I'm afraid it is not elephantinum. I was told that Leon, formerly of Hoosiers, admitted that they weren't really sure that what they sold as elephantinum, was. Plus if you look at the photo in the link below, you'll see that it is different. Mine is probably didieri or a hybrid with didieri. And yes! The room smells divine.

More and more, I am getting to really like Jumelleas. They have flowers that make me think of egrets. I suspect they get too big for me, though. That's a lovely grouping. They look smashing!

Those are some awesome roots on that pic of elephantinum. I can't see too clearly on your pics of your non-elephantinum, but is it that thicker one pointing out toward the front? I can't tell what it is coming from. It too looks like it could be an awesome, warty root.

I'm seeing the beginnings of spurs on my mystacidii spike. Keeping excitement under control until it actually blooms successfully, at which point I will have to do a dance of joy. That is all I can say at this time.
