Love your basket. I have found a number of sources for this kind of basket and with the help of the coconut fiber matt form HD I use them more and more.

I'm moving more and more into these baskets. Much easier to deal with and I don't worry about over potting. Trouble is I'm running out of space to hang them.
The spikes are very thin, like a thread and blows in the wind. The flowers are sequential bloomers, each lasting about a week. Each spike hangs about 2 feet from the plant with the flowers on the tip. When hanging in a tree, you don't notice the thin spike and the flowers appear to float. Almost impossible to photograph the plant and the flowers together. I haven't found a way.

Here's a close-up of the flower which begins green and fades to white. I notice, the higher the light the greener they start out.

Great flower. I also love these baskets and I also shamelessly overpot. I like to think of plants being where they are for the duration meaning I never intend to repot, up pot or do anything else to them.

Andy has a hugely overgrown Pleurothallis hanging in his greenhouse. I asked him how old the moss is and he just laughed and said way over 5 years. Once a plant gets large it also is very powerful and makes it's own rules. One can stop worrying about replacing moss or bark and just leave the plant to it's own devices as it simply will adapt and create it's own environment.
