Mediocalcar decoratum
Even if you are not into miniatures you will be delighted with this cute, tiny plant from New Guinea. The tubby little flowers are only about 15mm in size and can only really be fully appreciated in photos, but the branching plant is very attractive and not all that difficult provided you respect its dislike of temperature extremes. There are several other Mediocalcars, but these are less showy as they are cleistogamous, ie. the flowers do not open properly.
