yes i knew this :) they should be wonderfull, i have searched the world before to find a source for it in europe and it was so hard to find someone shipping oversea. andy only sells in america.
let me know when u will purchase from him i will be glad to see pix of your it should be already a nice specimen size and from the pic on andy's site the spots of his plants seems to be quite large and beautyful.

yes it rerembles and smells like lily of the valley that's great i did have this species in my previous collection but i lost all my 300 plants when i have been ill in hospital for 4 months of pneumonia in 2008 I've been really happy this year when i found this orchid once again

Sorry to hear about your illness Ruffo, hope you are fully recovered. Yes it is "Lily of the Valley Orchid" though I believe there is also another species that has this common name. I have a number of Pleurothallis (not this). I don't go in for them much as some are fussy about climate (cool and humid) and it is difficult to keep them long enough to grow a good specimen plant. This would be great if you could hold on to it. Have you ever tried sonderana? That grows fast into a big clump and is quite striking for a Pleuro with bright yellow flowers.

hi ian i have been totally recovered now :),thanks god. i have seen sonderana offered often on ebay. it's always quite a show when it flowers and it forms nice clumps.
i wonder if it may be happy in my condictions.
my goal is to obtain a big specimen with my pterophoras.
they are sending out new leafs, at the very beginning i lost two leafs on the actually blooming plant maybe because i have kept it too dry watering evry other day, but i feared to keep the moss too wet, now that it's warmer i can water once a day without problems and the plants seem to like it, i should have to try also enancing the amount of fert from 0.3 gr lt to 0.5 gr to see if it promote the growth.
or trying to fert more often with 0.3 gr per lt or at a lower dose.
till now i have used a balanced fert because it was starting to bloom. when it will finish blooming i will try to give 30 10 10 to see what happens if this will give me more leaves and bigger in size.

Pneumonia sounds simple. Take some antibiotics and you'll get better. But there is pneumonia and there is pneumonia as you obviously found out with a 4 month illness. I got a little touch of pneumonia at age 48 which despite aggressive treatment got rapidly worse and within 2 days turned into 'Adult Respiratory Distress Syndrome', (ARDS). This has a 20% mortality in healthy young adults, 80% mortality in compromised elderly.

Intubated, comatose (induced), with PEEP (Positive End-Expiratory Pressure) at maximum level, massive steroids and antibiotics I hung there for 5 days then suddenly got better and went home 2 days later. If more PEEP pressure would have been needed, the hyperbaric chamber would have been next. Lots of fun, I can only imagine what you must have gone through.

The PEEP concept is about the only positive thing that came out of the Viet Nam war were it was discovered. Prior to that this condition had a near 90% mortality.

I'll have to look for sonderana, Andy does not list it on his page but he has lots of stuff under his bench, I'll have to talk to him. I have Pleuro mirabilis but it is not pure white and does not have the fragrance, otherwise it has a similar inflorescence.

oh nick I am sorry to hear your adventure u have been really lucky to survive.
when i went to the hospital i have also been checked for cancer in the lunghs the doctors made me many exams.
thank god the result from the cells absportion was negative.
have u already bought the pterophora from andy?
they shold be blooming now let me know.
