What a shame that it is over-collected. Didn't know any Milts were native to Brazil.

Three apologies to make! First this species is not found in Brazil as I had been told, but is in fact from Colombia, Ecuador and Venezuela. Second, this plant is the alba form. And third it has for many years been re-assigned to Miltoniopsis, so it should correctly be called Miltoniopsis roezlii var alba! Moral: Don't always believe the "experts".

A really beautiful flower. I love the shape and the contrast of egg-yellow on white. The shape reminds me of my miltoni-a (opsis) whose rebloom I'm waiting patiently (?) for so that I can get a less vague ID on it. I bought it for its colour (egg yellow with a small area of maroon markings) and its scent of roses. However, it was merely labelled "Miltonia" and the blooms faded before I could take a photo. All I can tell you about it is that it has grass-green leaves and three different shapes of emerging growths. The plant can only be described as "higglety -pigglety" (growing all over the place and not very attractively)!
