Sobennikoffia robusta
Hi everyone --
This year was a better one for my Sobennikoffia robustas than last year. Of the four I received from Malala Orchidees in 2005, three are currently in bloom. For those of you who remember, it was 'Bluto' that flowered last year with two spikes. This year there were three spikes, and the plant continues to add a considerable amount of heft. The big surprise, though, was 'Ankaratra' pushing out six spikes! The blooms are a bit smaller than those on 'Bluto', but still impressive nonetheless.
I plan to cross these two, and hopefully will have successful pods I can have flasked.
