Looks very similar to cochleata, very nice. My cochleata has been highjacked by my daughter. Since she'll keep it until it stops blooming, I won't have it back for 4 to 5 month.

I think the only difference between the Green Hornet and the cochleata is the size and number of the flowers. I have both and my cochleata has larger flowers, but my green hornet seems to hold more flowers at a time.

Good luck getting your cochleata in 5+ months. The Green Hornet holds flowers just as long as the cochleata.

Do you allow yours to dry between watering or do you keep it a little damp?

Nice. I love it when you also add that it's fragrant. I'm always interested in fragrant plants.

Agree with above. Flowers are smaller and lighter in color but there are many more than cochleata carries. The most I have seen on cochleata is 6. My photo of the entire stalk of green hornet is fuzzy so I'll go back tomorrow and take another one but it definitely has more than 6.

It's mounted and gets watered every 2 days. Not like it's in a pot full of bark.

I have one, someone paid $20 to $30 for it last Sunday at the orchid show where I was the General Dogsbody. It was supposed to be picked up before the show ended but it was left all forlorn.

Seriously, I suspect that it might be easier to grow than cochleata.

It has 9 flowers and one bud ready to open. The cochleata never produced that many at the same time.

Second year bloom, the flowers are actually quite small.
