I have a crinum that came from Louisiana. I dug it up and transported it in my car. I honestly didn't think it would survive here...and if you saw my transplanting techniques you would wonder how anything survives me :-). I planted that baby DEEP. So deep I will never be able to dig it up. It survived and it blooms every year.

This pic is pretty old now...that little munchkin is almost as tall as me :) but it shows off my crinum pretty well.

The picture title in my Photobucket account says that it might be "Gulf Pride". I'm sure the crinum forum folks must have ID that for me.

Wow, looking at the background makes me think I need to add more color up front again. That far bed is a struggle because it is surrounded by so much concrete, and yet, it gets flooded if we get a rain because my street is used as a drainage channel.

Well, I'm impressed. I was thinking a crinum bulbispermum might work well, and incidentally gulf pride LOOKS like those...dunno what it's parentage is.
