Depends, but probably not.

If it is perfectly filtered, then yes, but it is not very practical. An easier way is to put the tea into a bucket and connect a Syphonex type device that sucks the tea out of the bucket and runs it into a sprinkler. Again, it has to be perfectly filtered or the tea will clog the uptake tube.

The most important thing when you are applying the compost tea is that the water has been de-chlorinated. Any chlorine in your water source will kill ALL of the biological activity in the tea. You could apply the tea via any means but make sure the water you are using as a carrier has sat out exposed to oxygen for at least 24 hours.

organic2009, have you tested it with and without chlorinated water? Some of our local compost tea brewers attended a class with Dr Ingham. Afterwards they tested the San Antonio water and found that it killed half the microbes. I'm not sure it if was bacteria or fungi that died, but it was not all. I suppose everyone's water is different...as is their tea. Certainly chlorination is a concern. If you have pressurized but non chlorinated well water that would be best.

While Chlorine is a very good germicide in very small quantities, in the very small quantities used in municipal water systems that Chlorine could be used up, protecting your health, by the time the water reaches your house, especially in older systems. Most systems today use Chloramine, instead of Chlorine (less expensive and more stable than the old liquid Chlorine), and that will not easily gas off within the old 24 hour time frame, so letting your water sit around for 24 hours is no guarantee that it will be clear of this disinfectant.
As Dave has alluded to many people have used chlorinated water to make compost tea with no problems while others have not been able to do that. If the water you use does not work, collect rain water to make you compost tea.
