I hadn't even heard of it until you posted on here, so I googled it & WOW! Looks like it would be a lot of fun. I've seen a lot of artwork depicting espaliered trees. Would definitely be interesting to try. I looked up osmanthus evergreens & they are hardy in zone 9 & 10 according to the site I looked at. That might be a bit too far south for this area even with full south sun...I don't know. Thanks for an interesting gardening idea though.

Some osmanthus will do in zone 7, maybe 6. Especially if trained on a wall where they can take advantage of the heat. I hope the info the forum has might be helpful to help me decide if it's worth the investment of time and money.
