Well, you realize why I asked, right? Wouldn't a turfgrass with nitrogen fixation be the holy grail of organic lawn care? It would virtually end chemical fertilization.

I'm with you on chemical fertilizers and pesticides, but genetic research can be incredibly beneficial. Combining two positive traits that already exist in nature is a good thing.

We already have a plant that does that in lawns but most people spray poisons on clover to get rid of it because the manufacturers and sellers of those poisons have determined that clover is a "weed".

I know. I love clover. Half of my backyard is clover. But it would be even better if KBG fixed nitrogen, would it not?
