James, The Rodale Co. has a book out "Gardening with Perennials" Edited by Fern Marshall Bradley.
copyright 1996, That is mostly garden plans of all kinds. The price was $27.95.
For years they had a great gardening magazine. Then they had more ads than articles and i quit subscribing and i don't think they have the magazine anymore but i'm not sure.

Here is a hint: I recently discovered the world of used books! What a saving....mine have been through Amazon.

I really love Keith Davitt's garden design books. His designs are great for small spaces, and he's amazing at combining hardscapes with plants-- oh, and water features too.
