It is time to plant sweet peas.

I am getting in the mood to plant something. I hope we do get rain tomorrow. Not much is expected S of I 44. I burned a bush pile today because of the moisture from the snow. I am not burning my walnut tops. That wood is green and I am going to cut some wood out of the smaller branches. I think walnut is the way to freeze to death if you have a wood stove. The tree people say it will burn after it cures. Oak is my fav.

I have had black seeded simpson under cover all winter long thanks to the nice weather we've been having. I made a mini hoophouse and covered with plastic. I have seedlings growing right now. I say if you're itching to plant some lettuce, go for it! Just cover if it gets too cold at night.
