Violet- everything was started indoors and transferred to the garage on a heating mat beneath lighting. have been bringing them in when it gets down to the low thirties.

the azureus,redskins and african daisies are easy and prolific.

I do love to see those seeds sprout......then......the transplanting to larger pots. Sometimes it takes me 8 hours..that isn't so much fun!

I have onions, petunias, snaps barely starting, and salvias up.

I tried Winter Sowing last year with a few successes. For this year I am using a greenhouse I purchased as a kit. So far I have osteosperemum, marigold, california bluebell, lavender, coreopsis, gazania everlasting and several others. I have no idea whether these will survive in our hot climate, but we'll see. Most of these are out at the Nathaniel Greene Public Demonstration Garden in Springfield. They should do just fine. You'd be surprised. It's not nearly as hot as it is in Phoenix.

There are several places to post photos for free. GardenWeb has Galleries specifically for posting photos. I prefer the latter:

violet- you always have good info. i do have an album set up on yahoo photo's. it is about me living china for a year. i will see if i can upload the pictures and send an attachment. i think i need to compress the picture too!!
