I'm probably in bed by the time they are singing here!
I hope that's a good sign....maybe spring is coming after all.

Well, I've seen lots of geese going north, and robins are here. Noticed yesterday the grass has the green flush that precedes spring-but havent heard the spring peepers.
Little signs THE LORD gives us to not give up hope for spring?

Ours are singing. They started Friday night. I heard them again this morn when it was pretty cold.

I don't remember hearing them until after the pond has thawed out for good. It's still froze!

No peepers peeping yet south of Columbia. I look forward to their song, though. Ah, the melody of frog-love.

We do have a traveling troop of coyotes who like to chatter and several barred owls who regularly converse round about dusk, but none of these critters are harbingers of spring, eh? Still, it is nice to hear all of the the sounds of nature. It takes the bite out of twelve-hour days spent with law books.

Oh Carrie I don't know how you stay awake with so much reading to do. I remember holding my eyes open with my fingers trying to study late at night when I was in college. I enjoyed my job at the time and worked more hours than I should have which didn't leave much time for reading and studying. I would've had better grades if I didn't doze off ever time I opened a book. lol

Those frogs must go by the time of year and not the temperatures. We've had some cold nights. The 15 day forecast looks pretty chilly for late February/early March.
