Aerangis articulata
A friend gave me an Aerangis articulata over a year ago that she had no luck blooming. It was in a plastic pot so I decided to put it in a four inch basket with spagnum moss and a medium grade bark mix. I was rewarded this summer with 18 blooms on one spike. I normally take photos against a black background, but it was hard to position the plant that way with its long pendent spike. Blooms were fairly short lived, only lasting 2-3 weeks if I remember correctly. Fragrance was strong up close to the plant and had very sweet floral qualities. Not musky like other night blooming orchids (B. nodosa for example).
