"When weeding, the best way to make sure you are removing a weed

and not a valuable plant is to pull on it.

Stolen from another forum, but it hit home. I am thinking I pulled up some geranium that I planted last fall. I have the wild crane's bill that I sometimes pull up and sometimes allow to grow. I have also pulled up a few other seedlings that I realized were good plants after I had already yanked on them.
