have st. augustine grass would like to know the best dates to fertilize and with what.

St.Augustine should be fertilized 4-5x per year during the growing season (spring-fall)

As for what to use: There is Alfalfa pellets, Soybean Meal, Corn Meal, Cotton Seed Meal and Used Coffee Grounds. Basically any ground grain. The application rate of these grains is 10-20lbs per 100sqft.
