This is the national flower of Panama and is commonly called the 'Dove Orchid' or 'Holy Ghost Orchid' and it is easy to see the dove sitting on the nest within the flower. So writes Jay Phal. I have killed a number of these over the years and this is the first bloom I'm enjoying. Warm grower with dry winter rest. Tall spike with many flowers which will open in succession over some time.
