Potted Shrub

I have a sloped area in my rear yard covered with Vinca groundcover. I have 6 large empty pots in various areas of the groundcover and want to plant some type of shrub that will really be a great focal point. I am thinking a shrub since I do not want to have to replant all the pots each year. Any ideas for the "wow" factor? Thanks

Right off hand I would say Rose of Sharon. Will have nice blooms and you can keep pruned to the height you need. How big are your pots and what is the sunlight like there?

Try a "Whahoo" shrub. It's a eunymous, beautifull pink flowers that turn into unique bright red "3 cornered" seed pods that hang on the branches well into Fall. I have only one 6 foot plant now, but planted the seeds last Fall and will spread them all over this place. It's also a rapid grower. Strong
