I am about to resign my post as committee member of our local OS. I admit it. I am not up to the job. This plant was in our local show and clearly labeled as the above. Jay's shows a different plant (purple). To make matters worse F. Miranda on flickr shows both the purple and the yellow form and says the purple one is L.rupestris. I have also seen this plant called Sophronitis rupestris syn Laelia flava. Well that is b****ks. On top of all this the RHS tells us these aren't Laelias at all any more but Hofmannsegella. Pass the aspirin! It's still a super plant.
