This is definitely a good one. I got it from Carmela Orchids in Hawaii as part of a plug tray purchase 4 years ago. Used to be 25 plugs for $25, free shipping if it's a society order. This was 4 years ago. Now they are $30 for 25 plants and I don't know if they still do free shipping for society orders. 4 years ago I got the 25 plants, kept about 10 and passed the rest on to other members. Put 8 of them in one hanging wooden rectangular/ovoid decorative basket where they are now fighting for space. Already spilling over the side which is fine with me, I want it to end up a ball of rhizome, leaves, and roots, covered with flowers once a year. 2 will bloom this year, first bloom. Next years there should be 8 spikes and it should be a mountain of pink.

I looked up Carmela's offering last night and Blc Marcella Koss was on the list, this morning it is no more. Must have sold the last one, the menu changes all the time. At this time I would be tempted to get Crispen Rosales, Good News Doris, Bryce Canyon Splendiferous, Vickie Andrews 'RJM', Irene Finey York and Mem Ana Balmores 'Carmela'. I have seen them in bloom and they look good.

Plug trays are cheap, however it takes 4 years to get flowers and you end up with 25 plants of the same clone. One needs a few partners to share the love with and to get in the habit of ordering a tray or 2 every 6 month or so, after a while suddenly there is one maturing all the time while the others are motoring along. Haven't ordered for a couple of years, the Marcela Koss has stimulated me to get back into the routine.
