Spread the CGM, as evenly as possible, and then wet it with a sprinkler if it does not rain. Just follow your normal watering schedule. The CGM has about 6 weeks of growth suppressing capability, according to Iowa State University.

The stuff in AZ usually germinates in the late winter after the rains, grows like mad in early spring, seeds and dies by May, unless it decides to be the perennial annual bluegrass.

It's pretty darned adaptable.
