Planting seeds

Is anyone planting seeds yet? I tried unsuccesfully to get starts going over the winter,so my green thumb is itching like crazy! Do you think that we must wait untill next weekend and beyond to start planting seeds, or have some of you started already? If so, what have you planted so far?

Go ahead and start if you wish, you might be interested in reading the Winter Sowing FAQ and browsing the forum...

Hi Diann - I noticed some seeds I winter sowed finally coming up yesterday and I have some celosia that's about an inch tall but very spindly. I don't know if they'll make it. Zinnias only seeds I have direct sowed so far this spring. I have more of those to put out if the first ones don't come up.
Some veggies need more heat to do well. I'm still waiting on watermelons and pumpkins and going to plant some pole beans again. This is the time of year when I always think to myself "Maybe we won't have a late frost this year" and then of course we always do. lol
