I'm not taking any chances -- frost blankets over the eggplants and lettuces, at least. Collards and broccoli will have to fend for themselves -- I haven't planted anything tender yet, but the tender ones are all sprawled out on the sunny driveway, waiting in their pots -- they get tucked back into the garage. Let's hope it's not a full frost. So many people buying tomatoes, peppers, and petunias today at Lowe's. Hope they haven't planted them out yet.

I will be out of town so it is not good timing. I also have plants out in black stock tanks gradually getting used to out doors. I don't think they will fit where they were under my lights, but I may put some plastic or glass over the tanks in the shade with a little ventilation.

Annuals in at Ozark Nursery---but I think I'm going to wit another week before I plant any. Springfield weather service only says in the mid 30's this weekend for a low, I'm going to be gone so I am just going to hope everything is fine when I get back.

I live in a valley, so mid thirties in Joplin is a frost here.

I was glad to see they raised the forecasted low for tonight. The lowest I'm seeing right now is 38 and windy.
My Balaton cherry has blooms for the first time, only about a dozen but maybe I'll get a sample. I also have lots of tiny blooms on my new Sweet Scarlet goumi.
One of my irises is blooming already too.
I don't plan to cover anything. It's hard to keep stuff covered when it's windy so I hope it doesn't get colder than they say.
