Count me in! The swap last year was great. Either date is fine by me, I've pencilled them both in on the calendar.

Sounds like fun, never been to a swap, yet! I vote for May 7th, as I will be off that day, but may be able to arrange for the 30th, if need be.

i vote for April 30...that will enable me to get some divisions for the swap and make room for my seedlings at the same time. besides, i came home from last year's swap with so much, it took us two weekends to plant it all!

Here's a quick update on swap info.

April 30th has been chosen as the swap date. :^)

I had an e-mail concerning the system. The style of the swap is free-for-all. The basic premise is that the plants are all set out ahead of time. Plants are arranged in common groupings according to sun, shade, etc... After lunch (potluck), swappers regroup and upon a signal may take any plants that they are interested in. This is not a plant-for-plant trade. You may however make prior trade arrangements with other members who are swapping, and exchange the plants at the swap. I am putting together a swap page on my home site. It will contain lists of who's coming, what is being brought for the potluck, lists of plants people expect to be bringing, and plants people may be looking for.

If you would like to be able to arrange prior trades with swappers, please let me know if I may post your e-mail with your plant list.

In case of concern, Toby's last two swaps were wonderful. People were willing to divide and share items that there was mutual interest in. There was no grabbiness. I mention this simply because in an e-mail I received, an individual attended a very large free-for-all swap. She was expecting an individualized plant-for-plant swap. I felt this point should be clarified so there are no misunderstandings.

Hi Everyone,

The Spring Swap is approaching....just over three weeks!

Hopefully everyone has been able to get out and enjoy their gardens a little bit this Spring-in between raindrops and flooding. I've started a web-page for the swap, and would like to start posting who is coming and what they're planning on bringing. Please see link below.
