The Governor Mike Huckabee Delta Rivers Nature Center in Pine Bluff Arkansas is having a plant swap this Saturday 10 to 11:30 in the morning. Pine Bluff is about an hour's drive from Little Rock. You can Google it to see its website, directions and mention of the swap.
I hope to go. If I go, I will bring rooted pieces of indiogera, bee balm and unrooted forsythia cuttings. I can give these away free (may have to limit quantities if lots of people attend and want them, but they grow quickly). For trade, I will have a couple Oakleaf hydrangeas. If I know tonight or tomorrow, I can bring other plants for specific trades, too. Look at my 'have' list on GW here.
I would absolutly love to have: fragrant native deciduous azaleas like Rhododendron arborescens and austrinum, Wintersweet (Chimonanthes praecox), the voodoo lily Dracunculus vulgaris, Danae racemosa also known as Alexandrian laurel or Poet's laurel. I can't find this last one anywhere without a huge cost for a teeny tiny pot. For the above, I'll trade lots of plants for one rooted Danae, R. arborescens/austrinum, etc. Since it is a swap, I can bring larger specimens of Oakleaf hydrangea than I can mail, as well as other plants. I have a huge plumera I can't mail but would trade it for one of the above.
Let me know if you're going. We can post here what we can bring. It is this Saturday.
