How big is the bloom?
When taking photos, I always want to do it with a ruler beside them , as size can be so deceiving.

I don't like pics with rulers though I agree they can give some idea of size. Bifrenarias are very similar in size and botanically to Lycastes so this will give you an idea. Most are short-stemmed but a few of the smaller flowered varieties like aureo-fulva have longer stems.

Beautiful blooms. I don't like rulers either. A forumite on another forum does two pics one with , one without. I'd never have the time, can't manage the time to take/post pictures. Are the blooms fragrant?
