Last time I checked - about 5 years ago, there was only one vendor in the entire country selling wasabi plants, last year I heard there may be 2-3 vendors.

try frogfarm. $7.50 a pop and about 2 yrs to maturity. not a lot of sellers.

The reason there are not a lot of vendors is because they are very difficult to grow as a cultivated plant.

Looks like it grows next to cool creeks, might be pretty hard to reproduce these conditions at home.
