We always call this the Foz do Iguaçu orchid on account of the large numbers of plants that can be seen near to those spectacular waterfalls. I found a piece that had fallen off the roof of the hotel where we were staying. This is the first time in 4 years that it has flowered. This year has been exceptionally wet. I don't know if that has anything to do with it. It has a slight sort of ice cream scent.
