Herbs?

Could anyone tell me of a good place to buy herb plants--between Willow Springs-and Springfield, Mo? Not sure of kinds I want yet-just something I don't have.

Oh, yes, one-handed gardening can be done--sure makes the able side sore tho--LOL. No more surgery for awhile, Dr. wants to do it in July-but it depends on what the garden's doing. Thanks again for everyones concern.

They sell in different locations and markets and have the best selection of herbs in the area.

Otherwise, try posting a request at the Plant Exchange Forum. All you need to do is have an herb collector who needs to thin respond to your post. Someone like me would send you 20 varieties straight to your doorstep for the cost of postage. No need to leave the house!

Lynda Franco is a great suggestion. One of the places she and her husband Jim sell is their Earth Mother Gardens booth at the Greater Springfield Farmers Market in Springfield, Mo. There are some good pictures (not advertising) of them and a lot of their plants in the Plantsellers section at www.ozarksgardens.com.

What kind of herbs are you looking for?
I'm going to try to talk my DD into driving me to Springfield to look into those daylilies the 12th if i've got any i can drop them off for you. I don't have many left. but i might have something you'd like. They'd be peranuals.

Violet, I hope you're serious, I'd gladly pay postage on any I can get- I have lemon balm, and Jacob Cline Monarda, if you'd like them.
Oakleif, if you're going thru Willow, LOL(or anywhere)I'd gladly meet you. I'm starting a extensive herb collection, and I'd take anything.
I'm not supposed to be using my hand yet--but its spring, and I'm a gardener, sooo? Had checkup Monday, doing fine, except for some scar tissue building he didnt care for, overall its great. more surgery in the fall. Thanks everyone.

I'd love to but my selection is still recovering from the ice storm. Otherwise, yes, I'm serious.

I assure you you're likely to get a response, if you just post to the Plant Exchange Forum, something like Wanted: Herb Collectors.... Looking to expand my herb collection from the basics. Anyone have starts of 10 varieties or more for SASE? Interested in medicinals for health reasons.
