William, we don't have as many hummers so far either. I think 4 or 5, but we have had 6 Rose Breasted Gros Beaks, and so many Baltimore Orioles, we have lost count. We had a small flock of buntings too.

I don't think I've ever had more than one pair of hummingbirds in the spring. I keep planting stuff and I put out extra feeders and it's the same every year - one male and one female. I think if there were more, I would at least occasionally see two females at the same time or two males.
I saw a RB Grosbeak in my dogwood tree just for a moment and wouldn't you know, my feeders were empty. I haven't seen one since then and it's been a few days so I think I missed my opportunity. He must've gone to your house GLD. : (

beautiful pics and beautiful birds Glenda. I've never seen the orioles here. We do have the occasional gros beck. DD has'nt had many hummers this year either.

I've a pair of phoebes that was here last year,i'm proud of.

No Gros Beaks here today at all; maybe they have moved on.
