Comes in various colors and even different flower sizes. I just bought another one which is red but no flowers yet. It grows outside in full sun, temp range seems to be 28F to 100F. Never complains.

It's a terrestrial/lithophyte/ep[iphyte, meaning it will grow in your toilet. I grow it in rock and have taken numerous divisions from it for friends and society members some of who grow it in soil. Not spectacular but extremely willing and always in bloom.

That must be pleasant, having an ever bloomer, especially since it's such a lovely colour!

WOW! It's certainly not short on blooms. Seen some other colours, red and orange, at shows, but never this huge.

Never slowed down for the winter, going full blast with no let up since first posted. At the top of the picture you see the bottom of a plant mounted on a wooden rectangle. Its one stem from this plant which got separated accidentally. It has made 2 new growth in the last 3 month and the single stem is blooming. This plant is amazing.

Anyway, Epidendrum secundum was used as a parent and it has produced Cosmo Dream Color.

Both James Rose (Cal Orchids) and another vendor have incredibly beautiful Epidendrums such as the one shown above. They are hard to resist and I see people buy them all the time but very seldom see them on member's display table. The ones we can get here (Don't know about Cosmo) have become delicate and touchy in the hybridization process. Instead of being indestructible blocks of granite that will grow anywhere, they need a warm greenhouse. It takes a few miscues for people to find that out. Several years ago, when I tried a few, I killed every one. Should try them again, Santa Barbara has a show next weekend, I'll look for Cosmos or something like it. It's a gap in my collection, I don't have one of these 'floofy', gorgeous Epis.

The Epi originally posted looks exactly the same. Looses flowers, makes more flowers. Since then I have acquired in trade, 2 more Epi secundums. This one is purplish in color, the other one has not bloomed yet.
