Hi amknyc - I live in Southern New Jersey near Philadelphia. I grow all of my orchids in a 10 x 20 foot lean-to greenhouse. They get lots of light, air circulation, RO water and constant fertilization via a proportioner. I think the most important part of Cattleya culture is to provide enough light. The greenhouse faces Southwest, so I get plenty of it! Here are some shots of my setup last Fall:
