Irises and Peonies are blooming

Dawn, you said you wanted some pics :) This is a really good year for my irises and peonies, but the pics don't really do them justice.

The heat is frying my first flush of roses :(

and the best pic :)

I need get better pics of my peonies...maybe tonight I can.

Honest, anyone (within geographical reason) can grow these. They are dead easy. A little water, a little weeding and they perform.

Lisa, Thanks for posting the photos. It all looks so incredibly gorgeous, as always. I don't think your yard ever has a day when it isn't just completely and totally beautiful.

So beautiful and a few days ahead of me. My earliest iris are opening but only one peony so far. But what do you do about disease on iris and peonies, because I have some brown spot stuff on iris and blasted buds on a couple of my peonies--even though some of the peonies in the same bed don't have it. And the iris that have disease are in full sun and plants of the same varieties in mottled shade in the woods that get no care ever don't.
