ces and Cream Dahlia was the first to bloom this year too, its over the top of my cattle panel. My other favorite, Hulins Carnival is loaded with blooms too. I have roughly 35 Dahlias growing now--but I still love my Glads best. I have good pictures of them on my FB page

Glads are gorgeous but I don't know how to support mine very well or where to place them.

I have a yellow I spotted this morning and a couple that haven't bloomed yet....all from the grab bag the neighbor boy was selling. Before that I just had Violette. It just have one bloom stalk this year but gazillions of leaves. I am thinking they need to be dug up and thinned. What do you think?

What do you girls do about those striped borers that get in the stems and cause them to break when the wind blows? I guess Bt early would be what to do, but that is why I don't grow dahlias.

Lord, Helen, don't tell me there is another critter I have to worry about! I guess I have never had those borers.
