hummingbirds have arrived

I guess spring has finally arrived here in Bedford county. Decent temperatures, sunshine, and I saw my first hummingbird here at the house today. A Red throated one. I zipped in and made a batch of nector up and filled the feeder I already hung up.

The hummies are here in Fayette County also! I put my feeders out this afternoon, and within a half hour I had visitors!

I saw my first here in Westmoreland County on Friday. It just so happened to be the day I put out all my Fuscia's. ~mamabirrd

We spotted our first one last weekend, he was looking in the patio door!! We thought he was pretty smart til we realized he was being drawn by the red sticker from the security company! LOL!!! The feeders went up and this weekend we were rewarded with 4 of them visiting us!

We seem to have more this year than last. Sitting out on the porch a bit ago we had 4 or five buzzing in and out fighting . hard to be sure with all the chasing those little speed demons do.
