That shouldn't faze that tree one bit. It's got plenty of size to it, it's against the house, and it's been in the ground for years. That's one of the nicest trachys I've seen growing so far north, especially with no protection.

It looks pretty good for the most part. I do not protect my four Trachys anymore. I was a bit nervous during the past couple weeks of frigid temps. But they look fine.
