All I know is that they don't stand up in strong winds.

Just gone one a few weeks ago, and the winds we've been having flattened mine, which was in an unprotected spot.

Oh what a shame. My mom's are fairly protected. Can you stake them up? I had to stake my tree peony after the heavy winds.

I think you will find it is an annual here, I love it and plant it on my patio every year for the fragrance.

Dedtired, do make sure that she deadheads. Mine will go dormant mid to end July but a haircut brings them back!

Lynn, thanks for the tip. I'll check to see if they have been deadheaded. They are still doing well but require more water than the other potted plants.
