Hello!

I've been lurking around the Garden Web forums for a while but never scrolled down far enough to know there was an Oklahoma Gardening forum. I stumbled in by googling: growing pomegranate trees oklahoma. I got a hit on this forum -- which wasn't altogether hopeful for the pomegranate tree prospect but very cool for finding the Oklahoma board.

I live in Tulsa which is 6b, I think. I guess we have a wee urban farm: two raised beds with lots of heirloom tomatoes, green beans, okra, watermellon, zucchini, um . . .a few other things. We also have a new grape vine.

My daughter has started raising endangered heritage breed chickens. We have 2 breeds now and the third will arrive the middle of this month.

This is all new for us. We're loving the adventure and our new garden/urban farm!

I can't wait to get to know everyone and swap garden stories -- and plumb the depths of your experience for my own benefit!!!
