I didn't get anything in last weekend but I have planted almost all of my wintersown seedlings over the past few weeks. I planted Hollyhocks (alchea), alyssum, candytuft (iberis), Catchfly (silene), pincushion (knautia macedonia), kalimaris (blue star aster), evening primrose (oenthera) and painted daisy.

I transplanted some rose campion seedlings I found and also divided some geranium, threadleaf coreopsis, siberean iris, obedient plant, purple dome asters, yarrow, clustered bellflower (campanula glomerata) and sundrops (oenthera) and some daylilies.

My beds are young, I only started gardening about 3 years ago so everything I divided was what I started with and moved the stuff into my new beds.

This past weekend I didnt get anything planted, but I put in a patio for my bbq equipment. I have been steadily (since it got warm enough) adding plants to my garden, and last thursday I added three six-packs of multi-hued Celosia and a few flowering tobacco. I have several Marigolds and some Cosmos and Zinnia that I have started from seed that need to go in yet, but I am having a hard time finding the time!

Just put in the my watermelon seedlings, bush beans, cucumbers (seedlings and I put in some seeds as well), and yellow squash and zucchini. Also planted chive seeds.

Yesterday I planted a beautiful peach verbena, a mildly fragrant lantana, and a bicolor lantana. The butterflies ought to be happy!

And then I learned that these plants need a lot of water, as does the peony I planted last September. Praying for lots of rain this summer, so I won't have to water!
