As far as I know, she's still president. I expect maybe she's on vacation or perhaps participating in botanical events out of town (or even out of the country). One thing about her is that whenever I've gone to events that she's attended, she is always very visible, mixing with the crowd, and enthusiastically talking to anyone within earshot!

Well, I finally got an answer from the Pa Horticultural Society, the Inquirer is downsizing the gardening section on Friday's, her column's history. Bummer.

Seems like now would be the worst time to downsize the gardening section?

Well now that's a shame. They could have at least waited until the growing season was over. :-\
