epsom salts and tomatoes

hi all,

just read the post on the growing tomatoes forum concerning epsom salts as an additive. Has anyone in the Pittsburgh/ Butler area done this? My heirloom tomatoes look great and have flowers as well as small fruit so I dont want to damage them but I'd like to try it to see if it really helps the plants.

Most tomato foods have magnesium in them so you don't need to. That is why a lot of people use tomato food on clematis because they need the mag.

My wife is the tomato gardener in our household, and she uses it. All of hers are container grown in 24" pots against a trellis. Automatic watering twice a day and lots of humos worked into the soil mix. She gets more fruit than we can eat.
