Down here in Tahlequah, OK we got nothing. All we have is heat. Well, I think it was that night when a storm kind of came in in a teasing manner and left us high and dry.

jessaka, I know how you feel. We haven't had rain in a very long time and with l00° temps that's why this one was such a relief.

We finally got rain last night, about 4/10, but had a few teasers before that when we could hear thunder and didn't get anything. It's so frustrating. I'm sorry you didn't get rain Jessaka. This week's rain chances look much better that last so maybe it will still come.
We need more. 4/10 won't give me a very long break from watering if the temps go back up near 100 again.

It must've been bad luck to say my Canadian Ginger is forgiving and will perk back up when it's watered because I think I let it die. I didn't see any green leaves yesterday. Maybe it will reappear in the spring. : (

Christie, I think I killed my strawberry bed! I mowed it off and watered the first day.....then didn't for several days, watered again. I am seeing nothing. I wanted to rework it; I think I did.

Sorry to hear about your strawberries. That doesn't sound good. Do you think they could still come back?

Did you get rain again last night? I had almost an inch and a half in my rain gauge this morning but I don't think I had dumped Friday night's rain.

Dh had put the rain gauge (tin can) under the edge of a plant so I doubt it is accurate, but it was right at one inch and we hadn't dumped from the 1/2 inch before.

The soil was too wet to plant the turnip seeds this morning.

Time will tell on the strawberries.
